A Day Retreat in St Albans to help deal with Menopause through Yoga, Pilates and Nutrition.
Saturday 26th June 2021…
I have teamed up with Joanna Michaelides, a Positive Change Pilates teacher, to bring together a day retreat to help women deal with the Menopause using yoga and mindfulness, pilates and exercise. Plus our special guest Jen Walpole Nutrition will be talking about how a healthy diet can help balance our hormones and also Jen is preparing a nutritious lunch.

The workshop is taking place on Saturday 26th June in St Albans
The workshop costs £80.00, if you book before Saturday 29th May you get the early bird price of £70.00

Meet the retreat hosts
Hi, I’m Joanna and I want to share my passion for Pilates with you
I fell in love with this form of exercise after seeing the overwhelming benefits – both physically and mentally in my own body.
I originally qualified with Polestar Pilates UK and then furthered my qualifications with the highly acclaimed The Center for Women’s Fitness certifying as a Women’s Health Pilates Specialist.
My passion for women’s health issues has become my focus, in particular Menopause. My aim through Pilates is to educate, strengthen and empower women through this unique stage of their lives.
My name is Jacqui and I’ve been practicing yoga for the past 20 years. I became a qualified yoga teacher in 2017 and since then I’ve gone on to train with leading yoga teacher Petra Coveney.
I now specialise in Menopause Yoga to help support women through their menopause journey. It’s my mission to help make this time of transition in women’s lives a positive experience of wellbeing and empowerment.
Many women start noticing changes in their hormones and experiencing symptoms of perimenopause in their 40s. For some women, these changes can start taking place in their 30s.
Yoga has helped me overcome some big changes in my life. I’ve learned how to use yoga and breath work to help me in everyday life, from taking control of anxiety and panic attacks to managing stress and symptoms of perimenopause.
Using my training and personal experiences, my bespoke menopause yoga classes focus on reducing stress, relaxing the nervous system and helping balance the hormones. I will support you in becoming more aware of your mind and body, so you are empowered to make any necessary changes that will help support and nourish you through perimenopause, menopause and life after menopause.
